On June 17, 2024, Command Strategy organized a solidarity cooking workshop that fits in perfectly with our values of sharing and solidarity. The event brought together an eq team of enthusiastic volunteers prepare meals for the homeless in our community.
To carry out this noble cause, we collaborated with the association “La Balade des Lucioles”, renowned for its commitment to the homeless. Their “maraude” distributes meals to people in need, offering much more than a simple meal: it’s a moment of comfort and humanity.
The workshop began with a warm welcome for volunteer participants in a culinary workshop set up for the event. Under the expert guidance of chefs, we prepared a variety of balanced and tasty dishes, including salads, hot dishes and desserts. Every participant pitched in, whether chopping vegetables, preparing sauces or setting up the dishes.
The workshop was also a learning experience, with everyone discovering new recipes and culinary techniques, while sharing tips and smiles. The friendly atmosphere and spirit of mutual aid made the experience a memorable one.
At the end of the workshop, the dishes prepared were carefully packaged and handed over to the “La Balade des Lucioles” teams. The meals were distributed the following day, during the association’s regular “maraude”. The feedback was very positive, both from the beneficiaries and the volunteers.
This solidarity cooking workshop strengthened our community involvement and raised awareness among our participants of the difficult realities faced by homeless people. Beyond the meals distributed, this event created bonds and strengthened our determination to contribute to a fairer, more united world.
